The Foundation was formed in conjunction with the establishment of the Pierce-Arrow Museum at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan.
The Foundation is governed by a board of directors, which meets twice a year, in late winter and mid-summer, in connection with the meetings of the directors of the Pierce-Arrow Society.
A membership in the Pierce-Arrow Museum includes membership in the Foundation. As with the Pierce-Arrow Society, membership is available to anyone interested in the Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company, its products, artwork, literature, employees, or history. Ownership of a Pierce-Arrow product is not a requirement.
As of January 2015, the directors of the Pierce-Arrow Foundation are as follows. Contact information for the directors is available in the roster of the Pierce-Arrow Society (periodically mailed to all Society members and available to them on-line at the Pierce-Arrow Society website).
